WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Wednesday, May 20, the number of coronavirus cases jumped to 163 in the city of West Hollywood. The Los Angeles Health Department confirmed 1,324 newly confirmed cases across Los Angeles County.

Starting Saturday, May 23, the city of West Hollywood will require everyone to wear facial coverings while out in the region. The city of West Hollywood announced during a press conference on May 20 that the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department will issue citations for those who do not comply.

Children two years of age and younger will not be required to wear a facial covering. Children three years of age to eight years of age will be required to wear a mask with parental supervision.
