PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA—On December 4, comedian and semifinalist for the 2021, season 16 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” died. He was 39. The autopsy and toxicology results are pending. No foul play is suspected.
Jeremy Curry, who performed the Bay Area Stand Up Comedy Tour with Kabir Singh made the following post on Facebook.
“It’s my deepest regret to let everyone know that Kabir Singh has passed away. He passed away peacefully in his sleep and this is the most devastating post I’ve posted. Services will be on Saturday, December 14, at 8:30 a.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Please keep his family and fiance’ in your thoughts and prayers. I love you bro.”
Kabir Singh’s sister, Sonya Singh first told NBC News that it was their mother that found him.
“My mom, she lives with him, tried to wake him up, and he didn’t wake up.” His sister indicated that though the cause of death is still unknown, Kabir Singh lived with congenital heart disease requiring two surgeries. The late Singh’s birthday is on December 30. “We were planning his birthday,” Sonya Singh stated.
On his X social media profile, Singh left the following message.
“Wayfarer – I need me a me. Greatest gift u can give some1 is ur kindness and compassion.”
Another Singh quote from his X page, “There is no greater protector than a father.”
And before his audition on “America’s Got Talent,”
“I want to be the first stand-up comedian to win this.”
