HOLLYWOOD—Last week was the first part of an exclusive interview with one of Hollywood’s most talented and handsome leading men, Don Diamont. The actor who portrays Bill Spencer on CBS’s mega hit “The Bold and the Beautiful” spoke about his character’s (Bill Spencer) respect for sometimes nemesis and sometimes object of his affections, Steffy. “Steffy is someone Bill has respect for, Tommy. He sees himself in her. She’s devious, determined and will do anything to win, he really admires that about her,” said Don.

Another character Bill Spencer is involved with is his wife Katie, played by Emmy-winning actress Heather Tom. Don spoke very highly of Tom and of her alter ego Katie Logan Spencer. “I think Heather is a great actress and as you know we worked together on ”˜Y&R’ obviously as different characters. I was Brad Carlton then, and she was Victoria Newman,” said Diamont. “However, I think Katie is great for Bill. He needs someone that is strong and loyal, but also honest with him. That’s the thing he respects so much about Katie. Bill was horrified when her sisters Donna and Brooke turned on her and tried to make her look bad in her job as head of Forrester Creations. I enjoyed those scenes in which Bill verbally leveled Brooke and Donna.” Diamont was not the only one who loved those scenes. They should have garnered the handsome actor an Emmy-nomination.

“B&B” is written and produced by award-winning Bradley P. Bell, who resides in Holmby Hills. Brad has single-handedly made “B&B” the most watched daytime drama in the world. The show that his parents Bill Bell, Sr. and Lee Phillip Bell co-created a quarter of a century ago is still loyal to its viewers and has kept the four original main characters (Stephanie, Ridge, Brooke and Eric) on the front burner all of these years. However, Brad knew that his show would become even more successful by bringing new characters who can infuse the series with fresh new stories. When Don Diamont’s contract ended at the show’s sister soap “The Young and the Restless,” Brad quickly brought Don over to his show and created one of the most exciting and well-written characters ever in the history of daytime dramas.

Don Diamont credits his amazing run on television by offering praise to his boss. “I enjoy working on this show. Brad [Bell] is always open to listening to an actor’s ideas and thoughts. Ultimately, it’s his decision, but I have enjoyed helping to mold this character and building him for the audience. Brad is a genius,” stated Don Diamont.

The handsome star is not all about work. In addition to being a wonderful father, Don is also an amazing uncle who was so touched by his niece’s inner beauty and strength, that when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), the star founded the Don Diamont/Alyssa Mazur Foundation at UCLA’s MS Research and Treatment Center. “Tommy, I do my best to help whenever they ask me to be involved with a project. I credit my sister with raising such an amazing young lady, who is currently finishing her second degree. She inspires me and my whole family with her dedication and determination,” concluded Diamont.

Inspiring and determined are family values for the Diamont clan. His parents should be very proud of the man that he’s become, as fans are proud to have him on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Don Diamont is an exciting actor and a superstar who is grateful for the fan support he’s received over the years.
