HOLLYWOOD—The mayhem is continuing on Tyler Perry’s “The Oval.” Last week things ended with Jason kidnapping Rachel, but this week’s episode, ‘An Ethical Presidency’ witnessed Sam checking in on Priscilla who is rattled by the turn of events. I think Sam is under the impression that all is fine; but it’s not. She wants blood, and she plans to make that happen, but her love for Sam is not there. Sorry Sam, your plan didn’t work.

Kyle and Sam thought it would be wise to take another stroll into the tunnels to locate Jason, just as Nancy realized that Priscilla’s temper is ready to boil over. Sharon found herself being tailed by the police for literally no reason at all; so Mr. Perry please make me understand the purpose of this? So apparently the cop thinks that Sharon might be in danger and is being trafficked.

We are spending too much time on this Priscilla, Nancy drama. The ladies were interrupted by Sharon stopping by who revealed all sorts of mayhem, as it involved Kareem. Sharon asked for a place to stay, and Nancy extended the offer, as she was worried about Kareem coming after her.

Rachel, while chained up, realized that Jason had nefarious intentions for her. She started to flirt with him, as she attempted to mess with his head by playing into his sexual deviations. Rachel was playing this well considering her predicament. Eli traded barbs with Dilva about Hunter and Victoria’s antics, as she begged him to attend the cabinet meeting, even if Hunter didn’t want it to happen.

Hunter, Dilva, Eli and Donald had a meeting with the power players about protecting America and the moves he plans to make to prove that to the American people. This element has been such a boring part of the season since the premiere episode. I do not care about this mess; it does nothing for me; nothing at all. Why is this segment like 10 mins? It is completely irrelevant and I tuned out after 30 seconds.

Donald got worried when she learned from Allan that Rachel has gone MIA. This also worried Kyle who speculated that she could be in danger. Allan is such an idiot. For once, Donald’s suspicions were spot on. Aaron spoke with the new chef but was caught by Richard who watched from a distance. This is the one and only time I’m ok with Richard really having a role here calling out the BS that he witnessed.

One thing about this new chef, she should be aware that Richard is not one to toy around with. Richard called her out on her antics, and she learned real quick he is not one to toy with toy with. Isaac you in real hot water buddy. Kyle explained that Rachel never left Allan’s office; so both speculated that she disappeared or there is a secret tunnel entrance and it became clear Jason is responsible.

Victoria was worried upon learning that Jason is still MIA. Kareem chatted with Carlos about the money that was in that stolen vehicle. Kareem was warned that he better get that money otherwise he’s a dead man walking. Bobby and Lilly chatted about faking their relationship to ensure they are protected.

He professed his love to her and he was being authentic, but Lilly wasn’t truly buying what he was selling. Bobby may have finally found the one as he professed wanting to marry her. Looks like Rachel was utilizing a bit of psychology to try to get into Jason’s head, talking about how being tied up makes her lose her inhibitions. Oh, Rachel you are eating by toying with Jason’s brain.

Movement was heard in the tunnel, as Jason became worried before viciously knowing her out cold. Rachel was discovered by Kyle, but Jason ambushed him by viciously attacking him with a bat. Got to admit this is getting very interesting to say the least, because it can only end with Jason meeting the Grim Reaper. Until next week on “The Oval” people.
