BEVERLY HILLS —My name is “Radar”, and do you see that smile on my face? That’s because I was rescued from the pound just in the nick of time – if you know what I mean. Yes, my time was up, but I was a lucky one that someone rescued. They brought me to the Friends of Animals Foundation, where they knew that I would be well cared for and loved until a permanent home could be found for me.
I’m being given lots of love and walks and attention – but I sure would like to belong to a family that I could call my very own.
I’m a little boy about one year old, so I have a lot of energy and love to play. I weigh about fifteen pounds, so you can still consider me a lap dog. I love affection, and sure do like to cuddle and give kisses.
I get along with other dogs, so, if you have one already, wouldn’t he or she like a friend to play with? I get along with children, too, so no worries there. I can’t remember being with cats, but I’ve heard that they can be independent and are able to take care of themselves if they get in a situation like being chased by someone like me. All they have to do is jump up on something out of my reach, which wouldn’t be hard to do. However, I doubt that they’d have to worry about that, as I know my place, and want to be friends with everyone.
I hope that you will come to see me. We can take a walk together, and, hopefully, you’ll like me so much that you’ll want to sit and cuddle for a while, and then – well, who knows? I’m hoping!
A few sayings to make you smile: “When a dog barks and wags it’s tail at the same time, how do you know which end to believe?” – Anonymous; “Cats are smarter than dogs. You can’t get eight cats to pull a sled through snow.” – Jeff Valdez; “Study hard, and you might grow up to be President. But let’s face it, even then, you’ll never make as much money as your dog.” – George Bush, to a graduating class, referring to Millie, his dog, who earned $889,176 in book royalties.
Now, back to “Radar”! Please call to see that spunky, little guy! He would make a great and happy addition to any home.
