LOS ANGELES—Rapper Wiz Khalifa was detained by US Customs and Border Patrol at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday, August 22.

The 27-year-old rapper was forced to the ground and handcuffed after allegedly refusing to dismount his hoverboard.

Khalifa took his 20.9 million Twitter followers along for the ride as he posted multiple tweets of the altercation, a picture and a video that was taken by an onlooker.

In the video, Wiz can be heard telling officers, “You can’t do nothing anyway. What you gonna do, put me in jail because I didn’t listen to what you say? You can’t do nothing. We can have all the conversations you want to. We can end up on TMZ, you can become as famous as you want to be.”

The artist of the hit songs, “Work Hard, Play Hard” and “Black and Yellow,” first tweeted, “Haven’t been slammed and cuffed in a while. That was fun.”

Following his initial comment, a picture of multiple officers surrounding him on the ground was posted with the caption, “They love sayin stop resisting.”

Khalifa’s spirits were visibly high after the incident, noting in his latest tweet, “I got some awesome weed and a bad one to roll it for me so it’s all good.”

There has yet to be any comment from the LAPD and it is not clear if charges have been made.
