SANDUSKY, OH—There is one place every summer that is an annual trip for the family. We always venture to Sandusky, Ohio to venture to one of the best amusement parks in the world. People are always talking about Disney World, Disney Land, Six Flags and a slew of other amusement parks, but none compare to Cedar Point.

This is the place for adrenaline junkies to get all the thrills one can handle and so much more. Are you worried about the kiddies having something to do? No worries because Planet Snoopy has all the rides. It is the perfect place for kids to enjoy the same thrills that adults do on a smaller scale to keep them occupied. This is the only amusement park with more than 17 roller coasters, 16 thrill rides and 3 water rides.  For those coaster lovers, if there is one coaster that everyone must try out it is the Magnum XL. The coaster reaches speeds of 72 mph and has downward drop of at least 200 feet. It’s the one ride that gives you butterflies in the stomach every time. You might experience a few bruises along the way.

Another must is the Millennium Force. This is the one coaster that petrified me for years. I’m not a fan of large regions of water so to see this coaster reach its peak at about 310 feet in the air and literally Lake Erie sitting right next to it. The crazy aspect about the Millennium Force is the drop is nothing compared to the Magnum XL in my opinion.  You feel it, but nothing like the Magnum. This coaster travels at a speed of over 93 mph and is one of those fun rides that you want to take over and over again.

If neither of those coasters delivers the thrills, than you will be on the edge of your seat with the Top Thrill Dragster. The wait to get on the ride is much longer than the actual ride itself, but its one of the scariest things I’ve ever experienced. With a takeoff speed of 120 mph, it should catch everyone by surprise. That’s not the scary point; it drops at nearly 420 feet high. Yep, pray while taking a chance on this coaster, because it’s just as scary as it looks.

Of course when it comes to water rides, nothing beats the Snake River Falls. Ever watch that Cedar Point commercial where you see bystanders getting soaked while standing on the bridge. Well this ride is responsible for that. It’s the one water ride, where you are 100 percent guaranteed to get soaked after dropping more than 80 feet. Just be sure to travel this ride during a hot summer day so you instantly dry.

Now if actual coasters and thrill rides aren’t your cup of tea, than heading towards Soak City for water lovers is the perfect treat. It allows kids to play in the water for days, while adults get the opportunity to ride a few thrillers of their own also. Oh, if you’re worried about eating don’t, there are many dining options to choose from, but I’ll be honest; you’ll be so concerned about riding that eating will be the last thing on your mind.
