LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Clippers re-signed Bradley Beal with a 2-year, $13.2 million deal. The three-time all-star will try to return after fracturing his hip leading to season ending injury. The second year on the deal is a player option.
The 14-year veteran has averaged 21.4 points, 4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.1 steals in his career. While on the backend of his career, he wants to be available and play competitive basketball.
Beal looked for a different direction before the 2025-26 season and signed with the Clippers after his underwhelming tenure with the Phoenix Suns. The Suns agreed to a buyout on the last two years of Beal’s $251 million extension. The contract quickly was viewed as one of the worst in the entire NBA.
Phoenix stretched $97 million of his contract that created $19.4 million in dead cap through 2030.
After a failed trio of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Beal, he signed with the Clippers. He declined the $5.6 million player option this offseason to go on the open market to see his worth.
Bradley Beal will get to showcase his play after the injuries and play with new teammates. Players like Darius Garland, Rui Hachimura and potentially Brandon Ingram are all new teammates he hasn’t graced the floor with.
