MALIBU—On July 31, two people entered the Guitar Center at 30730 Russell Branch Road in Westlake Village and were suspected of grand theft.  On August 20, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station announced the first suspect is described as being a White male who weighs 270 pounds and stands 6 feet and 4 inches tall. He was last seen wearing black pants, a grey shirt, white shoes, black socks, and a black hat. He has a tattoo on the back of his left leg.
Suspect Number 2 is described as being a Black male weighing 180 pounds and is 6 feet tall.  During the visit to the Guitar Center, he wore a black shirt, blue pants, and a black hat.
The suspects entered the store and employee and asked to see several items.  This included a Sennheiser XSW IEM Wireless In-Ear Monitoring System, worth between $599.00 and $649.00, and an Akai Professional MPC XL Standalone Production Station, worth at least $2,899 without any additional accessories.
One of the suspects asked to be shown another piece of merchandise.  The store employee retrieved it and they left the store without paying for the items.
They drove away in a 2001 to 2003 gray Ford Ranger Super Cab pickup truck with no license plates. Anyone with details should call Detective Lopez at 818-878-1808.
