LOS ANGELES-On Friday, May 23, the Greater Los Angeles Area on Deafness (GLAD) will be holding a Dog Bite Prevention workshop.

The workshop will be presented by Brenda F. Barnette, the General Manager of the Los Angeles Animal Services Administrative Office. The event is meant to teach people why dogs bite, how to see warning signs, how to avoid being bitten and what to do when bitten by a dog. The workshop aims to help attendees pick “the right dog for [themselves],” according to the event’s flyer on the GLAD website.

The event will be held in ASL and will be conducted at GLAD located on 2222 Laverna Avenue in Los Angeles, CA. It begins at 1:30 p.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. For more information on the event, or to notify GLAD of other necessary accommodations, contact Rafif Gerrard at least 10 days in advance by VP: (323) 892–2312 or by email: rgerrard@gladinc.org.
