SANTA MONICA—On June 17, founder and Santa Monica local Richard K Chand opened Dragon Alley Coffee Shop, a specialty gourmet coffee shop with magical-themed drinks, at 7 a.m. opened. Chand celebrated his grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., followed by a live DJ set that welcomed customers to the celebration.
The opening ceremony was captured on the Dragon Alley Coffee Shop Instagram, where Chand recognized and thanked his team, community, and the city of Santa Monica for today’s events.
On the Dragon Alley Coffee Shop website, Chand, a Santa Monica local, details that he drew inspiration for Dragon Alley Coffee Shop from the shared moments with loved ones over a cup of coffee and wanted to bring that “feeling home to Santa Monica.”
Through his inspiration, Dragon Alley Coffee Shop offers a variety of magical themed drinks such as the “Wizard’s Cinnamon Oath” and “The Caramel Chalice” lattes which are decorated with their signature Dragon image on the coffee cup sleeve.
Dragon Alley Coffee Shop is open to the public Sunday – Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is located on 312 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica, 90401.
