SHERMAN OAKS—A man was arrested after attacking a resident at a Sherman Oaks apartment and jumping from a second-floor window. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to calls of the man destroying planters at the property at around 7:30 p.m. on September 22 on Coldwater Canyon Avenue, NBC 4 Los Angeles first reported.
Authorities indicated the intruder was under the influence of narcotics as he attacked a woman in her home with a candlestick holder. The victim was hiding when the suspect jumped out of the second-floor window.
Neighbors detained the intruder until authorities arrived on the scene. According to reports, he was taken to the hospital to be treated, but no details on any charges has been announced. The name and age of the suspect has not been disclosed to the public.
