He praised the team, naming first baseman, Ryan Zimmerman who later presented President Trump with a number 45 Nationals jersey.

“For keeping everyone here safe in our country and continuing to make America the greatest country to live in, in the world,” said Zimmerman.

The Major League Baseball organization coined Game 7 of the World Series as one of the, “rarest treats in sports.” For the first time in World Series history, all seven games were won by the visiting team. The Nationals defeated the Houston Astros in Texas with a final score of 6-2. Eighteen of the twenty-five players were present for the celebration at the White House on Monday.
