WOODLAND HILLS—Authorities are searching for a suspect who robbed a Woodland Hills TGI Friday’s restaurant on September 29. According to reports, the suspect was masked and unrecognizable when he entered the restaurant located in the 5900 block of Canoga Avenue at approximately 2:30 a.m.

The suspect threatened the employees who were inside the facility about to close for the night. He stole $10,000 in cash from the establishment, and cell phones that belonged to the victims before fleeing the scene.

Dozens of police cars and a helicopter appeared at the scene.

Out of the five employees, three were handcuffed by authorities and brought out for questioning. They were later released.

One employee suffered a minor neck injury.

Police are viewing the surveillance camera footage from the crime.

Witnesses have described the suspect as an African-American male, between the ages of 30-35.
