WEST LOS ANGELES—A 60-year-old woman was fatally struck by a driver and the Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Detectives are requesting the public’s help in order to find the suspect.
The incident occurred on Thursday, December 2, at about 9:17 p.m. when the victim named Razia Shariff, living in Los Angeles, had gotten out of her car. It was a Honda CRV “that was parked on the west side of Centinela Avenue and north of Nebraska Avenue,” as stated in the police department’s press release. She was hit by an unidentified car that was heading southbound on Centinela Avenue.
The driver of the unidentified car committed a hit-and-run when the car immediately left the scene, not stopping to help the female victim or identifying himself/herself “as required by law.”
The woman was left with extensive blunt force trauma injuries. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics had rushed the victim to a local hospital where she died.
